Police have flagged a worrying surge in motocross bike thefts from secure sheds and garages. Officers are stepping up efforts to catch the crooks and stop more riders falling victim.

Last month, a Bristol man was locked up for two burglaries involving stolen motocross bikes in the Trowbridge area last year. It’s a clear message that police are getting tough on these offenders.
Police Warn Riders: Stay Alert at Events and Online
PC Ben Williams from the Fortitude team said: “These burglaries cause frustration, anger and financial harm to bike owners. We’ve been working hard to warn the motocross community about the risks through social media, selling sites and bike shows.”
He added: “We urge owners to be extremely vigilant when attending events or advertising bikes online. Always be cautious, especially when selling, to avoid flagging your bike to criminals who could target it next.”
