Christmas Day Brawl: Five Arrested After Brutal Hucknall Attack
Chaos struck Hucknall in the early hours of Christmas Day. At 1.17am on South Street, police were called to a violent disturbance.
Car Stop Leads to Multiple Arrests
Officers quickly traced a car linked to the incident to Bulwell. Five men inside were arrested on suspicion of serious offences. Among the victims, a 25-year-old man was hospitalised with a broken leg. Another 25-year-old suffered facial and hand injuries but didn’t require hospital treatment.
The Five Suspects and Their Charges
- Two men, aged 18 and 21, face charges of grievous bodily harm with intent and cannabis possession.
- A 20-year-old man was questioned over wounding with intent and cannabis possession.
- A 28-year-old man was arrested for grievous bodily harm with intent.
- A 21-year-old man faces conspiracy to cause grievous bodily harm and cannabis possession charges.
All suspects were released on conditional bail. A strict condition bans them from entering Hucknall as investigations continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
“Five suspects were swiftly arrested in connection with this incident and our inquiries to establish the full circumstances remain ongoing,” said Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Nick Hall, Nottinghamshire Police. “We urge anyone who witnessed what happened to come forward. Your information could prove vital.”
