Burglary Blues: Man Nabbed for Three Break-Ins in Brighton and Hove
Three Homes Targeted in Just One Week
A Brighton and Hove man has been charged over a spate of residential burglaries in December 2022. Between December 14 and 20, homes on Somerhill Avenue, Shaftsbury Road, and Montpelier Place were targeted. Each saw an intruder force their way inside – with one victim even chasing off the thief.
Suspect in Custody: William Djama, 34
Police linked the three break-ins to a single suspect. William Djama, 34, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with three counts of burglary. Detective Sergeant Jo Benton said:
“Sussex Police recognises the personal and financial toll burglary takes on victims. We’re committed to investigating every case thoroughly and bringing offenders to justice.”
