Seven Charged After London Pro-Palestinian Rally Turns Chaotic
Seven individuals face charges following a massive police operation in central London on Saturday. The Met continues to investigate several other incidents linked to the protests.

Police Keep Hunting Suspects
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, who led the policing operation, said:
“Public order policing doesn’t end when demonstrators go home. Our teams continue building cases against those arrested and are investigating others identified through social media images and videos.” “Since the demonstration, we’ve issued appeals over six incidents, with more expected. British Transport Police have also released two appeals. We urge anyone with information or footage to come forward so we can act.”
More Arrests Made to Prevent Disorder
Police made 91 additional arrests on Saturday to prevent breaches of the peace. Many counter protestors were arrested in Tachbrook Street, Pimlico, as they confronted pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
These preventative arrests are used when harm is imminent. Once the threat passes, arrestees are typically released unless other offences are involved.
Those detained solely to prevent disorder have now been released. However, individuals facing other charges remain in the legal system.
