Brave Firefighters Battle Blaze with Aerial Ladder

Road Closures Hit Local Area as Fire Fought
North Road and junctions at High Street, Kingsley Avenue, and Shrubbery Road were shut to traffic. Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the firefighting operation, which ran from 9:48am to 1:54pm.
Old Propane Heater Suspected Spark Behind Fire
Fire crews from Southall, Ealing, Hillingdon, Hayes, Northolt, and Heston attended. Initial investigations point to a leaking, old propane-powered heater found in the loft as the cause. The device will be tested further.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson warned: “If you own older propane heaters or equipment, check that rubber seals haven’t perished. Leaks can occur with ageing gear, which we believe caused this blaze.”
