Sex Predator Caught Red-Handed Near Police Station

Daniel Boyd, 31, planned to meet a 14-year-old girl for sex just yards from a police station in Bromley. The predator sent explicit messages and photos to the underage girl before turning up at Bromley South Station, condoms and lubricant in hand. But instead of his victim, he was met by a vigilante group dedicated to exposing child sex offenders.

Court Drama Unfolds at Woolwich Crown Court

Boyd, who lives on Dagonet Gardens in Bromley, faced Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, November 3. He pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including meeting a girl following grooming, sexual communication with a child, and attempting to get the child to view explicit material.

The court handed him a one-year prison sentence, suspended for two years. That means Boyd avoids jail—unless he slips up again during that time.

Chilling Messages Reveal Full Story

The court heard Boyd had contacted the girl on Facebook from July 7. Despite knowing she was 14, he told her he was 31 and sent lewd photos of himself. He pressured the girl to send explicit images back.

Boyd arranged to meet at Bromley South Station on July 18 and told her to book a hotel room, making his sinister intentions clear.

Boyd’s Defence: “I Regret It”

When the vigilantes confronted him, Boyd admitted his mistakes and begged not to go to jail. Police arrested him that same evening at 8:40 pm.

His lawyer, Tihomir Mak, pleaded for leniency, pointing to Boyd’s lack of criminal record, a tough upbringing in Jamaica, and mental health struggles.

Harsh But Fair Sentence

Recorder Joshua Swirsky slammed Boyd’s actions as “serious criminal behaviour.” The predator was ordered to complete 60 days of intervention, 45 days of rehab, and 150 hours of unpaid work. Plus, he must register as a sex offender for ten years to protect the public.
