Shoplifting and Assault Charges Hit Man Across Thanet and Canterbury

A suspect is set to face court over a spate of shoplifting and assault offences across Thanet and Canterbury.

Jordan Best Busted in Multi-Shop Theft Spree

Jordan Best, 38, with no fixed address, was slapped with nine shoplifting charges on 23 April 2024. The Thanet Victim Based Crime Team launched an investigation that led to his arrest.

Thefts Spanning Four Towns

The charges cover incidents between 12 March and 10 April at shops in Herne Bay, Ramsgate, Whitstable, and Canterbury. Among the stolen goods were meat and fish.

Assault Allegations Add to His Woes

  • Assault on a staff member at a Ramsgate business on 3 April
  • Assault on an emergency worker on 10 April
  • Causing actual bodily harm to an officer on 22 April

Best was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on 24 April.
