Teen Charged After Drugs Raid in Canterbury

A 17-year-old boy from London is set to face court after police uncovered drugs in a Canterbury home.

Police Act on Residents’ Drug Worries

Following complaints about anti-social behaviour and drug use, officers raided a property on Roper Road at 11:30am on Friday 24 May 2019. They seized suspected Class A drugs during the search under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Two Arrested, Woman Released

  • The teenage boy was arrested and charged with two counts of possessing Class A drugs.
  • A 56-year-old local woman was also arrested but later released pending further inquiries.

The boy will next appear at Canterbury Youth Court on Monday 3 June.
