Police Hunt Teens After Firework Display Brawl in Whiteley

Officers are on the lookout for around 15 teenagers following a brazen attack on a 14-year-old boy after a firework show in Whiteley.

Attack Sparks Near Meadowside Rec Field

The victim was hanging out with two friends near the stalls at Meadowside Recreation Field at around 8.20pm on Sunday when trouble struck. A gang of about 15 boys, none known to the 14-year-old, approached him.

Two of the teens grabbed the boy while another landed a punch to his face. Luckily, the injury was minor and didn’t require hospital treatment.

Police Seek Witnesses to Identify Group

One suspect stands out: a white male, 16 or 17, big build, with dark brown curly hair. He wore a dark blue Puffa-style jacket and was carrying fireworks.

“The event attracted a large crowd and we urgently need anyone who saw the incident to come forward,” police said.
