Six Hampshire Police Officers Found Guilty of Gross Misconduct Over Discriminatory Remarks
Six Hampshire Constabulary officers have been slammed for gross misconduct after an independent panel uncovered discriminatory comments made at the Northern Police Investigation Centre.
Covert Investigation Exposes Shocking Behaviour
The probe kicked off in 2018 following an anonymous tip-off through the force’s confidential reporting system. This led to a covert three-week audio surveillance inside the SOCU North office, where officers’ discriminatory comments were caught on tape. Disturbingly, these remarks were neither challenged nor reported by any of those present.

All six officers face serious allegations of gross misconduct. The panel spent weeks reviewing evidence and hearing officers’ explanations before delivering this damning verdict.
Next Steps: Sanctions to Be Decided After Christmas
The hearing paused for the festive season and will recommence in early January to decide the punishments each officer will face.
A Hampshire Police spokesperson said: “We understand there is significant interest in this case and our response to this outcome; however, as this remains a live legal process, we will respond fully at the conclusion of the proceedings.”
