Three Drug Dealers Jailed in Sheffield’s £175,000 Crackdown
Sheffield’s Fortify Team has dealt a serious blow to organised crime by locking up three men linked to a £175,000 drug supply network. Baran Aslan, 21, Jamal Usman, 22, and Muhiyadin Ismail, 33, were sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, 13 March.
Targeting the Ghost, Zed, and Ice Drug Lines
The trio were caught after a nine-month police investigation into the notorious Ghost, Zed, and Ice drug lines operating across Sheffield. This latest crackdown follows the December 2025 jailing of six other gang members, hitting a combined prison term of over 26 years.
Damning Evidence Seizes the Dealers
- Baran Aslan was arrested in August 2024 with three phones and dealer slips linked to the Zed line. One phone recorded 153 drug line contacts over just two days.
- Days later, police found £1,300 worth of cannabis, crack cocaine, heroin, plus scales and drug mixing equipment at Aslan’s home.
- Muhiyadin Ismail was tied to phones handling over 300 drug line diversions between March and June 2024.
- Jamal Usman had his phone linked to 500+ drug line diversions in May 2024. Police also discovered business cards advertising drug drops at his address during a January 2025 arrest.
Prison Sentences Passed
- Baran Aslan – 4 years
- Jamal Usman – 4 years
- Muhiyadin Ismail – 3 years 6 months
All three pleaded guilty earlier in the trial.
This latest jail term deals a major blow to Sheffield’s online drug operations. The Fortify Team vows to keep dismantling these dangerous networks to keep the streets safer.
