Three Burglars Locked Up for 2018 Surrey Crime Spree
Three men have been jailed for a series of break-ins across Surrey in 2018. Their crime spree targeted homes and businesses, leaving victims terrified and violated.
Burglaries Across Surrey and Berkshire
The gang struck at 12 homes in West Molesey, Shepperton, Epsom, Camberley, Walton-on-Thames, Cobham, and Banstead, plus a property in Bracknell, Berkshire. They stole jewellery, electronics, and other valuables. In some cases, owners were asleep upstairs when the burglars hit.
Two of the men also carried out a shocking aggravated burglary at a petrol station on Langley Vale Road, Epsom in October 2018. They assaulted a staff member, threatened him with a knife, and sprayed him with a fire extinguisher before making off with cash, cigarettes, and alcohol.
The pair didn’t stop there. They targeted a garage in Walton Road, East Molesey, and another petrol station in Windlesham – although that one was closed at the time.
Sentences Handed Down After Guilty Verdicts
- Frank Allan Fisher, 22, Shepperton: Arrested in January 2019. Found guilty of multiple burglary conspiracies and drug offences. Sentenced to 12 years in total at Guildford Crown Court in September 2019. He must also pay a £500 surcharge within three months of release.
- Shane Warburton, 25, Sutton: Convicted in March 2020 of conspiracy to commit burglaries and aggravated burglary. Sentenced to 10.5 years, with time served reducing part of his sentence. He faces a £500 surcharge.
- Charles Pardoe, 20, Feltham: Pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit dwelling burglaries. Sentenced to 26 months plus six months for drug offences, and six months concurrently for dangerous driving. Pardoe was disqualified from driving for 37 months and ordered to pay a £500 surcharge to a local sexual assault centre. He also had £1,500 cash seized under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
Police Praise Teamwork and Justice Served
“This court result reflects the hard work put into this investigation by both Surrey and Thames Valley officers. I’m pleased that we’ve secured such a positive result for the victims involved,” said Detective Sergeant Brett Harris.
“Burglary can have a devastating effect on people’s lives. The loss of sentimental items and intrusion into your home can have long lasting effects for victims. These sentences will allow the victims to move on with their lives in the knowledge that those responsible are behind bars.”
