Two men were hauled in after being caught driving together in Southwark on Monday, 15 November. Police swooped on Thomas Burke, 53, from London Road, croydon/" title="Croydon" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Croydon, and Brian Divengele, 31, of Brookhill Road, Greenwich.
Charged with illegal firearms possession
Both men were charged the very next day, Tuesday 16 November, with possession of a prohibited automatic weapon – a serious crime that could land them behind bars.
Next stop: Bromley Magistrates’ Court
Burke and Divengele are set to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, 17 November. More details on the case are expected as it unfolds.
