Daylight Diamond Heist Shocks MaidaVale Jewellery Store
A high-end jeweller in West London’s MaidaVale was targeted in a brazen broad daylight robbery this Monday afternoon. The gang stormed the store, smashing display cabinets and snatching expensive watches as terrified bystanders looked on.
Thieves Caught on Camera – Confront Bystanders
Security footage shows the criminals aggressively confronting onlookers during the audacious raid. At one point, the two inside the shop seemed trapped, forcing them to ram the door once more to make a getaway.
The pair fled quickly, one clutching a black backpack stuffed with the stolen loot.
Police Swiftly Respond to Armed Moped Gang
Scotland Yard confirmed they were called just after 5pm to reports of a robbery involving a gang on mopeds brandishing knives, a hammer, and a crowbar.
“One of the suspects, a male, was arrested after being detained by members of the public at the scene,” police said. “He has been taken to hospital for treatment of a minor injury.”
Two other men were later arrested by armed police near Camden Market. Investigations are ongoing.
