Armed Robbery Shocker in Marden: Police Issue New Appeal
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate are hunting a robber who struck a Marden home in the early hours.
Masked Gunman Targets Thorn Road Home
At around 4am on Sunday, 5 September 2021, a man broke into a property on Thorn Road. The masked intruder, armed with what witnesses say was a firearm, threatened a man and woman before making off with a haul of valuable jewellery and watches.
The victims suffered bruises but luckily didn’t need hospital treatment.
Suspect Description and Stolen Valuables
- About 5ft 10ins tall, stocky build
- Wore black jacket, balaclava, and black gloves
- Carried a black rucksack
He made off with high-end items, including:
- Rolex Datejust 36MM Silver Strips Baton Dial watch
- Boodles Raindance Classic diamond ring
- Links of London sterling silver horseshoe-shaped stud earrings
- Silver charm necklace by Sif Jakobs
Police Urge Public for Dash Cam and CCTV Clues
Forensic teams are combing through evidence and CCTV footage. Detectives want anyone with dash cam or private CCTV footage from the area between 4 and 5am that morning to come forward.
They’re also keen to hear if anyone has been offered any of the stolen items for sale.
