Drunk Mum Crashes Car with Child Onboard, Walks Away
Just after 8pm on Tuesday, cops from the Road Policing Unit, backed by a police dog team, caught a drunk woman who had crashed her car – with her child still inside.
Woman Flees Scene with Child, Later Arrested for Drink Driving
After the smash, the woman abandoned her vehicle and took her child with her. Officers stopped her for a roadside breath test, which showed she was over the legal limit. She was promptly arrested for drink/drug driving. Police confirmed, “Thankfully no one was injured.”
