Man Stabbed in Clapham Dies After Being Rushed to Hospital

A man in his 20s died early Saturday after being found with stab wounds outside King’s College Hospital in Denmark Hill. Police say he was attacked shortly before 5am on December 10 in Clapham High Street and driven to hospital by a friend.

Tragic Stabbing in Clapham

Officers attending an unrelated incident at the hospital discovered the injured man at around 4.55am. They gave first aid before medics took over, but the victim’s injuries proved fatal.

His family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Formal identification and a post-mortem will follow.

Police Launch Homicide Investigation

Detective Inspector Matt Denby, leading the inquiry, said:

“Our investigation is at a very early stage, but we believe the man was stabbed on Clapham High Street around 4.45am. He was driven to hospital by a friend, but sadly did not survive.

“My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. We’re committed to finding the person responsible and bringing them to justice.”

Police Maintain Scene and Appeal for Witnesses

Cordons remain in place in the Clapham area as forensic teams comb the scene. Officers will be visible in the neighbourhood throughout the day.
