Massive Cannabis Farm with 5,000 Plants Raided by Police

Police swooped on a property at 09:36am on Wednesday, 27 January, after a tip-off about suspicious activity. Inside, they uncovered a whopping 5,000 cannabis plants and a full setup for growing more.

One Room Packed with 1,800 Plants

One room alone housed 1,800 plants, all ready to hit the streets. The haul is estimated to be worth around £250,000.

Police Crackdown on Drugs Continues

Officers seized all the plants and launched an investigation to work out how the farm operated.

“Drugs have a devastating impact on communities and individuals and we will do everything we can to remove them from the streets,” said Police Sergeant Crystal Govers of the West Area Basic Command Unit.

“We act on intelligence from the public and urge anyone who spots suspicious activity to report it immediately.”
