Detectives are urgently searching for a mystery cyclist who stepped in during a late-night attack in Shoreditch.
Fierce Fight Ends with Victim Slashed
Just after 2:30am on 12 October, a 35-year-old man was involved in a nasty scuffle with two men on Paul Street. The victim was left sprawled on the pavement with a deep cut across his jaw.
Passerby on Two Wheels Saves the Day
A passing cyclist bravely intervened, forcing the attackers to flee on foot. The good Samaritan then helped the injured man into a black cab, getting him to safety.
Police Seek Crucial Witness
Hackney CID want to trace this cyclist, who’s not a suspect but a key witness. Officers believe his account could crack the case wide open.
Two men, both in their early 20s, were arrested on 18 November over the assault but have been released under investigation. No charges have been filed yet.
