The first arrest came at 5:40am on Monday, 17 July, when police detained a 56-year-old man in east London. Hours later, at 12:35pm, a 28-year-old Canadian was held at Heathrow upon landing from Canada.
Suspected Terror Links
Both men face accusations of belonging to a banned organisation, breaching Section 11 of the Terrorism Act 2000. They remain in custody at a West London police station under Section 41 of the same act.
