Man in His Sixties Left Seriously Injured After Brutal Basford Assault
A man in his sixties suffered multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung after a violent attack in Basford. He remains in hospital with serious injuries.
41-Year-Old Arrested Over Brutal Attack
The attack happened around 6:25pm on 15 November in Broxtowe Lane. Nottinghamshire Police arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been released on conditional bail as investigations continue.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
Detective Inspector Kayne Rukas urged anyone who was in the area or has mobile footage to get in touch. He said:
“A man has been left with serious injuries as a result of this assault and we are asking for members of the community to please come forward if they have any information.
“I want to reassure the public this is an isolated incident and we have already made an arrest.
“This kind of violence will never be tolerated on our streets. We are determined to find those responsible and bring them to justice.
“Any CCTV or dash-cam footage could be the missing piece we need.”
