Tragic E-Scooter Crash in Woolwich Claims Man’s Life

Police were called just before 2am on Sunday, 5 May, following a serious collision at Woolwich Manor Way, near the junction with Albatross Close, E6.

Emergency Services Rush to Scene

Officers, London Ambulance Service, and London’s Air Ambulance scrambled to the scene. They found an e-scooter rider lying on the road with serious injuries. No other vehicles were involved.

27-Year-Old Man Dies After Crash

Despite frantic efforts by paramedics, police, and hospital staff, the 27-year-old man tragically died in hospital on Tuesday, 14 May.

“The man’s next of kin have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers,” police confirmed.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urging anyone with dash cam footage or who witnessed the crash to come forward. Contact them on 020 8597 4874 or 101, quoting reference CAD 736/05May.
