Man in 80s Dies After Lorry Collision Near Canterbury

A man in his 80s has tragically died following a collision with a white Scania Tipper lorry near Canterbury.

Crash at Busy Sturry Hill Junction

Kent Police were called to the scene at the junction of Sturry Hill and Island Road in Sturry at around 12.20pm on Friday 19 January 2024. Emergency services rushed the pedestrian to a London hospital, but sadly he later died from his injuries.

Police Launch Witness Appeal

Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is urgently seeking witnesses. They want anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to come forward and help with their enquiries.
