Armed police called to Elm Park station
A 61-year-old man was arrested early this morning after armed officers rushed to Elm Park Underground station following reports of a firearm. The British Transport Police (BTP) were alerted shortly after 7am on Wednesday 19 June and responded swiftly to the scene.
Suspect in custody, no injuries reported
Officers detained the man on suspicion of possession of a firearm. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported amid the incident. The investigation remains active as authorities probe the circumstances surrounding the event.
