Father, 19, Stabbed to Death in Broad Daylight at Crossharbour DLR

A brutal stabbing at Crossharbour DLR station has left a 19-year-old father dead and another man seriously injured, sparking a murder investigation by British Transport Police (BTP).

Knife Attack Shocks Commuters at Crossharbour

Just after 6pm on 10 July, chaos erupted at Crossharbour DLR when two men were stabbed during an altercation involving a group of young men. Emergency services raced to the scene, but despite their best efforts, the 19-year-old victim tragically died at the station.

The second victim was rushed to hospital with stab wounds and remains in medical care.

Family Devastated, Station Shut Down

The deceased’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specially trained family liaison officers. Meanwhile, police have closed the station as specialist officers comb the area for clues.

No arrests have been announced yet, but BTP detectives are working tirelessly to track down those responsible.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

Detective Superintendent Gareth Williams said: “This was a shocking act of violence in broad daylight, which has seen a man tragically lose his life and another in hospital with serious injuries.”

He added: “We believe a group of young men were involved in an altercation, leading to the stabbing. We are doing all we can to find those responsible.”

Williams warned: “This level of violence is highly unusual on the rail network. We will be ramping up uniformed patrols around Crossharbour to reassure the public and prevent further incidents.”
