Four Dead in Horror Kent Crash as Boxing Fans Head to Fury Fight

Four men were killed outright in a tragic crash on Lenham Road, Kent, with police spending over 12 hours probing the horror smash. A 15-year-old boy remains in critical condition in a London hospital, battling brain swelling.

Victims Identified: Family Names and Heartbreaking Stories

The men have been named locally as Johnny Cash, 44, ‘Smiler’ Cash, 25, Johnboy Cash, 19, and Jacko Cosgrove, 18, who all lived within 200 yards of the crash site.

Jacko, the youngest, was a keen member of Tenterden Amateur Boxing Club and had just learned his wife was expecting their first child. Johnboy leaves behind a six-week-old baby daughter.

Johnboy’s wife, Grace, who had been married to him just over two years, laid white roses at the crash scene. She said, “I have to try and stay strong for my little girl. I am still trying to work out what has happened.”

En Route to Fury Fight When Tragedy Struck

A close relative revealed the men were returning from a night out to watch the Tyson ‘Gypsy King’ Fury vs. Deontay Wilder heavyweight fight when the crash happened just before 1am. Thick fog is believed to have contributed to the collision.

Johnny Cash’s son laid flowers at the base of a tree near the scene, mourning the loss of his father and uncle.

Local Community Left Reeling

Family and friends described the victims as “lovely men” and “hardworking, well-liked working-class people.” One relative said, “It’s a shame so many lives have been lost at once. It has affected wives, kids, brothers and cousins. They are never going to get over this.”

An auntie added, “We’re all gutted. I keep thinking this is a bad dream and I’m going to wake up.”
