Midnight Brawl Shakes Quiet Town High Street
Just after midnight on Saturday 14 May 2022, a man and woman in their 20s were verbally confronted by an unknown woman on the town’s High Street. After the brief exchange, they continued walking—only to be ambushed moments later.
Black Land Rover Freelander Used in Assault
A black Land Rover Freelander screeched to a halt nearby, and four men jumped out to viciously attack the couple. Both victims were rushed to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service but have since been discharged.
Police Arrest Four Over Assault
- Three men and a woman, aged 24 to 32, arrested on Monday 16 May
- All taken into custody for questioning
- Investigation ongoing
