Fourth Arrest Made in Ilford Stabbing Murder
Detectives investigating the brutal killing of a man in Ilford have arrested a fourth suspect as the probe intensifies.
Man Stabbed to Death in Chapel Road Flat
Police were called at 1:06am on Friday, 4 October, after reports of a stabbing at a block of flats on Chapel Road, Ilford. Officers and London Ambulance Service found 50-year-old Billy Keegan with a serious stab wound in the corridor. Despite their efforts, Billy was pronounced dead at 1:30am.
Billy’s family have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers.
Four Men in Custody Over Murder
The Metropolitan Police’s Specialist Crime Command is leading the investigation. Three men aged 40, 36, and 28 were arrested shortly after the stabbing on suspicion of murder and remain held at an East London police station.
On Saturday, 5 October, a fourth man, aged 30, was also arrested on suspicion of murder and taken into custody.
