Ford Fiesta Smashes Into Parked Vehicles
Just after 4am on New Year’s Eve, chaos hit Coopers Hill, Willingdon. A Ford Fiesta driver slammed into two parked cars – a blue Peugeot estate and a blue Toyota Aygo – leaving both badly damaged.
The Peugeot’s back wheel was wrecked, while the Toyota’s bonnet took a severe pounding. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Driver Flees Scene but Police Snare Him in Eastbourne
After the smash, the Fiesta driver tried to make a quick getaway, but police were on the case. A spokesperson said, “Police were called to a report that a Ford Fiesta had hit two stationary vehicles at about 4.07am on Sunday, December 31. On arrival, the vehicles were blocking the road, and the driver of the Ford Fiesta had made off.”
Officers tracked the suspect to an Eastbourne address where he was arrested on suspicion of drink or drug driving. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
