Woman Raped in Gillingham Park: Police Hunt Witnesses
Police are urgently seeking information after a woman was raped in Gillingham’s Great Lines Heritage Park.
Attack Details
The horrific assault happened between 5.30pm and 7.45pm on Friday, 10 July 2020, near the junction of King’s Bastion and Great Lines.
Detective Plea for Witnesses
Detective Inspector Dan Rance of kent-police/" title="Kent Police" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Kent Police said: “We are following several lines of enquiry, including reviewing CCTV, but do not have a clear description of the offender yet.”
He added, “We believe several members of the public may have seen or helped a distressed woman in the park during that late afternoon or early evening. They might not have realised a crime had occurred at the time, but their information could be crucial.”
