Tragic Flat Fire in Islington Leaves One Dead
Emergency services rushed to Warley House on Mitchison Road shortly after 8am on Saturday after neighbours spotted smoke billowing from a flat.
Four Fire Crews Battle Blaze
Four fire crews arrived quickly to tackle the fire. They entered the property to find the occupant unaccounted for but sadly discovered they had passed away.
Cordon in Place as Investigation Begins
- The fire was contained within the flat.
- Neighbours were safely evacuated by police.
- A cordon remains around the building.
- The London Fire Brigade and Met Police have launched a joint probe into the cause of the blaze.
