Drama on A20 as Ford Focus driver crashes twice before fleeing on foot
Chaos on London Road
At around 11:40am on Tuesday, 31 August 2021, police tried to stop a silver Ford Focus on the A20 London Road at its junction with Buckland Hill. Instead of pulling over, the driver smashed into another vehicle before heading onto Buckland Hill.
Second collision in school car park
The car didn’t stop there. It continued onto Buckland Road and crashed again—this time with a vehicle parked in a school car park. The driver then abandoned the car and ran off on foot.
Suspect arrested, police seek witnesses
Officers swiftly arrested the suspect nearby. They’re now appealing to anyone who saw the Ford Focus on London Road or during the crashes to come forward. Motorists with dashcam footage are urged to help crack the case.

Man under investigation
The arrested man, 28, from maidstone/" title="Maidstone" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Maidstone faces charges including possession of Class A drugs, failing to stop for police, and dangerous driving. He has also been recalled to prison for unrelated offences while the investigation continues.
