Paramedics in ambulance crash after running red light in Marylebone

999 emergency turns into crash horror

Two paramedics escaped serious injury after their ambulance smashed into a double-decker bus on Marylebone Road late Tuesday night. The emergency crew were rushing to a 999 call when they ran a red light and collided with the bus near Baker Street just after 11pm.

Ambulance flips on its side

The force of the crash left the ambulance on its side, forcing fire crews to rescue those onboard both vehicles. Bus passengers were shaken but thankfully unhurt in the smash.

Met Police launch probe

Met Police officers were quick to arrive and have opened an investigation into the cause of the collision. Both London Ambulance Service and Met Police have been contacted for a statement.

More details to follow as the investigation develops.
