Police Hunt Man Over Shocking Westminster Double Murder

Detectives have released CCTV footage of a man they urgently want to find in connection with the killing of two people in Westminster.

Lee Peacock Spotted on CCTV

The footage shows 49-year-old Lee Peacock at North Wembley Station on the evening of August 19. Police say he could hold vital clues to the murders.

“I am appealing today for further information about the whereabouts of 49-year-old Lee Peacock, who we need to speak to urgently about the murders of two people in Westminster,” said Detective Superintendent Luke Marks of the Specialist Crime Command.

“If you see Lee, please call 999 immediately. Do not approach him — let the police handle it.”

Two Victims Found with Knife Injuries

  • At around 9:30pm on August 19, 45-year-old Sharon Pickles was found dead in Ashbridge Street, NW8.
  • Only hours later, at 2:15am on August 20, 59-year-old Clinton Ashmore was discovered dead at a property in Jerome Crescent, NW8.

Both victims died from knife wounds. Families have been informed and are receiving support from specialist officers. Police believe Peacock knew both victims.

£20,000 Reward to Catch Killer

DSU Marks said: “We are keeping an open mind about the motive, but these crimes are linked. We understand the community’s concern, but a dedicated team is working hard to find Lee.”

A £20,000 reward is on offer for information leading to a conviction.
