Blaze Breaks Out at Albert Arms Pub in South East London
Twenty firefighters have rushed to tackle a fierce fire at the Albert Arms in South East London. The alarm went off just after 10pm on Monday evening, sparking a major response.
Four Fire Engines Join Battle
Fire crews from Lambeth, Old Kent Road, Dockhead, and nearby stations descended on Gladstone Street in Southwark with four fire engines. They’re using two hose reels and a powerful jet to stop the flames from spreading through the building.
Pub’s Fiery Past Comes Back to Haunt
This isn’t the first time the Albert Arms has gone up in flames. Back in July 2017, another devastating blaze forced the pub to shut for over three months. That fire, tackled by 35 firefighters, broke out in the early hours of Good Friday, causing serious damage to the ground floor and basement.
Firefighters are now working hard to bring this latest fire under control. More updates to follow.
