Thieves Threaten Police and Smash Patrol Car in Thornhill Road Raid
Drama unfolded just after midnight on Thornhill Road when police responded to a shop alarm at around 12:40am on 6/11. On arrival, officers spotted suspects lurking at the back of the store.
The gang didn’t hold back—they threatened cops and trashed a police vehicle before fleeing at high speed in a black Audi towards Masefield Road. A pursuit was quickly authorised but the car soon vanished from sight.
What Did They Steal? Police Still Hunting Answers
Officers are now piecing together what, if anything, was taken during the break-in. The investigation is ongoing as detectives sift through evidence and witness reports.
Warning to Locals: Police Need Your Footage
Detective Inspector Darren Ambrose of the Burglary Unit urged anyone with information to come forward. “We are working closely with neighbouring forces and appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to get in touch,” he said.
