Stolen Land Rover Snapped Up Hours After Burglary Near Tonbridge
Police nailed a stolen Land Rover just hours after a burglary at a Plaxtol property. Five men were arrested in the dramatic bust.
Chase Ends in Blackwall Tunnel
The heist happened in the early hours of Monday, January 16, 2023, when two Land Rovers were pinched. Kent Police got the call at 8.30 a.m. and quickly tracked one stolen vehicle heading through the Blackwall Tunnel on the A2 towards London.
The police, working with Met officers, stopped the Land Rover along with a Nissan Navara nearby around 3.20pm.
Five Men Arrested, But Another Land Rover Still Missing
- Five men in their 20s and 30s arrested on suspicion of theft
- Second stolen Land Rover remains at large
- Suspects bailed pending further investigations by West Kent CID
The investigation continues as cops hunt for the second stolen Land Rover. All suspects were later bailed to return for more questioning.
