Police are hunting for witnesses after a shocking fail-to-stop crash left an elderly man fighting for his life in Kensal Green.
Harrow Road Horror
A man in his early 80s, from Kensal Rise, was crossing Harrow Road at around 8.30pm on Friday, 3 January when he was struck by one of a gang of mopeds. Instead of helping, the riders cruelly circled the injured pensioner before speeding off towards Wrottesley Road.
Serious Collision Investigation Underway
The victim was rushed to a central London hospital and remains in critical condition. His family have been informed and are devastated.
Detective Constable Leo Christian of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said:
“We are looking for any witnesses who saw the collision or the group of mopeds riding around the area.”
“There were more than six mopeds, all riders wearing crash helmets. They callously fled, leaving an elderly man seriously injured without offering help.”

“We are determined to find those responsible and urge anyone involved to do the right thing and contact us.”
