Police Launch Hunt for Burglars After Exeter Break-In and Car Theft
Burglary and Vehicle Theft Shock Exeter Residents
Devon and Cornwall Police have opened a public appeal after a brazen burglary and vehicle theft rocked a quiet Exeter street. Officers were called to Rosebarn Avenue on Monday, 3 March following reports of a break-in during the night.
Thieves Make Off with Car Keys, Passports and Cash
The intruders didn’t just steal valuables – they also nabbed a hire vehicle parked on the driveway. Items taken include car keys, a mobile phone, headphones, passports, bank cards, and a quantity of cash. The stolen hire car was later recovered, but the hunt for those responsible continues.
Police Release Images to Identify Suspects
In a bid to crack the case, police have released images of two individuals who may hold vital information. A spokesperson urged the public to come forward:
“We are seeking the public’s help to identify these two individuals following a burglary and vehicle theft in Exeter. The incident occurred overnight on Rosebarn Avenue on 3 March. A hire vehicle was stolen from the driveway along with other personal belongings, including passports and cash. The vehicle has since been located. We believe the individuals pictured may be able to help with our enquiries.”
