Man Hospitalised After Brutal Early Hours Assault
A 24-year-old man is fighting for his life after a vicious attack on Neville Street just after midnight.
Shocking Street Assault
Police were called around 12.20am to reports of an assault. The victim was walking alone when another man approached and punched him square in the face. The blow sent the victim crashing to the ground, hitting his head hard.
Critical Condition and Police Hunt Witness
Emergency crews rushed the injured man to hospital, where he was diagnosed with a fractured skull. His condition is critical but stable.
Now, police have launched an intense investigation. Officers want to track down a man spotted nearby who might have vital information.

- White male, 6ft tall, medium build
- Black/dark brown fade haircut
- Full light brown/ginger beard
- Wearing a bright blue jumper, black skinny jeans, and Tommy Mallett shoes
