Woman Critically Injured in Morden Hall Road Smash
Police rushed to Morden Hall Road at around 8.15pm on Monday, 14 December after reports of a car hitting a pedestrian.
Victim in Hospital, Driver Co-operating
The pedestrian, a woman believed to be in her 60s, was treated at the scene by London Ambulance Service before being rushed to hospital. She remains in a critical condition. Officers are trying to trace and inform her next of kin.
The car driver stayed at the scene and is helping with enquiries. No arrests have been made.
Police Seek Crucial Witnesses
Officers want to speak with anyone on board a route 118 bus that was stopped near Morden Lodge at the time of the crash. They may have seen what happened.
Investigators are also appealing for any road users with dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit at Merton is leading the probe.
