In the early hours of January 2, 2021, officers from Thames Valley Police’s Team 2 leapt into action after a report came through of a caravan fire gone horribly wrong. Despite finishing a gruelling 12-hour shift, every available officer scrambled to the scene.
They arrived to chaos: flames roaring, the fire spreading fast, and danger mounting by the second. The team’s focus was clear—rescue the casualty trapped close to the inferno and get residents to safety.
Brave Officers Risk Lives for Rescue
- PC Alex Moore, Dominic Spear, and Adam Price led the charge, diving straight into the fire zone.
- They steered dazed residents away from the blaze and located the casualty near the fire’s heart.
- Facing explosions and flying debris, including a propane gas cylinder eruption, they fashioned a makeshift stretcher to haul the victim to safety.
