Chaos Near London Eye: Police Forced to Act After Mob Attacks Officers
Just before 9pm on Saturday, June 12, officers patrolling Jubilee Gardens, close to the London Eye, faced trouble. A large group suddenly started hurling objects at the police.
Massive Police Response
Backup was swift. The Territorial Support Group, Dog Units, and the National Police Air Service all rushed to the scene. The disorder spiral led to multiple arrests, including one for violent disorder and others for public order offences.
No Injuries Reported, But Tensions High
Thankfully, there are no reports of injuries to officers so far. Police issued a Section 35 Dispersal Order to break up the unruly crowd. Officers remain in the area to keep the peace.
