Bond Movie Guns Stolen in Brazen Enfield Burglary

Police were called to Aldersbrook Avenue in Enfield at 8pm on Monday, 23 March 2020, after reports of a burglary in progress. But by the time officers arrived, the suspects had fled.

Thieves Make Off With Rare James Bond Guns

The burglars smashed in through the back of the property but were disturbed by neighbours. They jumped through a window and sped off in a silver vehicle. They stole five genuine deactivated firearms, all of which starred in iconic James Bond films:

  • Beretta ‘Cheetah’ Auto Pistol, Serial H02641Y – seen in Die Another Day
  • Walther PPK, Serial 146872 – featured in A View to a Kill
  • Smith & Wesson .44 Magnum Revolver, Serial N60304 – from Live and Let Die
  • Beretta ‘Tomcat’ Auto Pistol, Serial DAA264306 with laser/silencer – also from Die Another Day
  • Llama 22 cal., Serial 271915 – another from Die Another Day

These unique props are highly sought after by collectors and film buffs alike.

CCTV Reveals Silver Vauxhall Minerva at Scene

Police released CCTV showing a silver Vauxhall Minerva parked near the scene in the lead-up to the raid. The suspects are described as three white men with Eastern European accents, dressed in dark clothes and face coverings. One clip even shows a flash from a camera as if they were scouting the property – straight out of a Bond flick.

One Gun Found in Essex Field, Rusted and Damaged

So far, only the yellow-handled Llama pistol has been recovered. It was discovered in a field near Roydon Railway Station in Essex a month after the burglary but has suffered severe rust damage from exposure to the elements.

“It’s been a year and only one firearm has been found,” said Detective Inspector Paul Ridley from North Area CID. “These are bespoke guns, instantly recognisable due to their Bond movie history. We believe the suspects were caught on camera just minutes before the raid.”

“The owner is devastated, these items had huge sentimental value and were set for a national exhibition. We urge the public to be on the lookout and to report any sightings or offers for sale immediately.”

“To highlight their rarity: the .44 Magnum is the only chrome-finished one ever made, complete with wood grips, and the Walther PPK was Roger Moore’s last gun in a famous Eiffel Tower parachute scene with Grace Jones.”
