Man Dies in Early Morning Hit-and-Run in South East London
A man in his 40s has died after being hit by a vehicle that failed to stop in South East London. The incident happened on Waldram Park Road in Forest Hill at around 3.30am on Saturday, November 25.
Hit-and-Run Horror on Waldram Park Road
Police and London Ambulance Service rushed to the scene after reports of a pedestrian lying in the road at 2.52am. Despite emergency efforts, the man was pronounced dead at approximately 3.35am. A black cap was found at the scene, and officers have set up a white tent as they investigate.
Driver Flees Scene, Police Appeal for Witnesses
The vehicle involved drove off, leaving the man fatally injured. No arrests have been made yet. Scotland Yard’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is leading the probe and has confirmed a crime scene is in place. Officers believe they know the victim’s identity but are waiting for formal confirmation.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 02:52hrs on Saturday, 25 November, following reports of a man found lying in the road. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a male believed to be in his 40s, who sadly died at the scene. We await formal identification and are working to trace next of kin.”
