Woman Sexually Assaulted in Portsmouth – Police Urge Public to Come Forward
Police are hunting a man after a 19-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in Portsmouth in the early hours of Saturday, 13 May.
Man Grabs Woman and Runs Off with Her Underwear
Between 2.45am and 3.25am, the victim was walking along Bradford Road when a man approached her, tried to chat, and was ignored. Suddenly, he grabbed her, yanked off her underpants, and then fled the scene carrying the underwear.
Police Appeal for Info on Suspect
The suspect is described as a skinny white man, aged 20 to 23, standing between 5ft 11ins and 6ft tall with a pale, skinny face. He wore a black or dark blue zip-up hooded top with the hood up, a white t-shirt underneath, and matching tracksuit bottoms.
Detective Constable Peter Eamer said: “At this time we believe this was an isolated incident. We would like to speak to anyone who has any information about this incident.”

Police advise people to avoid walking alone at night, stick to well-lit areas, and stay with friends whenever possible.
