Three Dead in London Knife Attacks: Police Say Murders Not Connected
London has been rocked by three separate knife murders in the space of 24 hours. The incidents took place in Lower Clapton, Deptford, and Knightsbridge.
Police stress the killings are not linked but share one tragic commonality: the presence of knives on London’s streets.
Police Vow Relentless Hunt for Killers
“Each one of these attacks is a tragedy, not just for the victims and their families and friends, but for our wider communities who are left reeling by this senseless violence,” said a senior officer.
The Met’s top detectives are pouring every resource into solving these cases. They are described as “highly experienced” in dealing with violent crime and determined to bring the perpetrators to justice with compassion.
More Cops on Streets This Weekend
Violence in the capital is the Met Police’s top priority. In response, residents in the areas affected and across London will see a surge in officer presence over the coming days.
This includes reserve units like the Territorial Support Group, Violent Crime Task Force, and armed officers, alongside hundreds of local borough cops already patrolling daily.
Police Call on Public for Help
But cops can’t tackle knife crime alone. They are urging the public to come forward with information about anyone carrying knives or involved in violent acts.
“We are grateful for those who already have had the courage to speak to us about those they know pose a danger to others. It makes our resolve even stronger to provide these grieving families the justice they deserve,” the officer added.
Londoners are being warned to stay vigilant as police crack down hard on knife crime this weekend.
