Knife Attack in Broad Daylight at London Road Shop
Police are hunting a knife-wielding thug who attacked a shop assistant in a shocking daylight assault. The terrifying attack unfolded at 4.35pm on Monday, June 24, inside the Friend Mobile store on London Road.
Victim Slashed Across the Face
Witnesses say the suspect stormed into the store, sparking a heated argument with a staff member. The argument quickly turned violent when the man allegedly slashed the young shop assistant, a man in his 20s, across the face with a knife. The victim suffered serious injuries and needed hospital treatment.
Suspect Flees Down Camden Street
After the brutal attack, the assailant fled on foot down Camden Street. Police are combing the area for clues, using witness statements, forensic evidence, and CCTV footage to track the culprit.
Detective Inspector Neil Dillon said, “We are conducting several lines of inquiry and urgently appeal to anyone who identifies the individual in the released image to come forward. If you were near London Road or Camden Street around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, please share any information.”
