Priceless RNVR Trophy Vanishes After 93 Years
A rare bronze World War One monument, the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve (RNVR) Trophy, has been snatched from Crystal Palace Park. This iconic piece has stood guard for 93 years, honoring RNVR officers who served during the Great War.
The theft reportedly happened between August 19 and 24, confirmed bromley/" title="Bromley" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Bromley Police. The monument was installed back in 1931 to remember the 125,000 officers trained at the Crystal Palace Depot during WW1.
Police Appeal for Help in Monument Hunt
Bromley Police issued a strong appeal: “This monument holds deep historical significance and is considered priceless. Help us preserve this vital piece of history for the families of the RNVR Officers.”
Anyone with information is urged to call 101 or report online, quoting CAD 3098/03SEP24.
