Met Police Vow Crackdown on Far-Right Riot Chaos
The Met has declared war on violent disorder sweeping across the UK. A top officer promised to use “every power, tactic and tool” to stamp out far-right riots shaking the streets.
Chaos Erupts After Southport Stabbing Horror
Spikes in violence erupted after three young girls were fatally stabbed in Southport on July 29. False rumours blamed an Islamic asylum seeker for the attack, but even after these were debunked, unrest has rolled on.
Riots Rock Cities Nationwide
- Disorder has flared in Nottingham, Hull, Hartlepool, Merseyside, and Middlesbrough.
- Police officers have been hurt, shop windows smashed, and hotels housing asylum seekers targeted.
- The Met arrested 100 people during riots in Whitehall last week.
Met Police Ready to Smash Further Riots
Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine, leading London’s policing, said:
“This country is faced with one of the worst spates of violent disorder in the last decade. This is a national critical incident, and we will do everything in our power to protect London and its communities.”
Valentine warned far-right groups are planning more disruptions in London, with Labour representatives from Harrow and Finchley & Golders Green also sounding alarms over looming riots.
Zero Tolerance for Chaos-Makers
Valentine promised:
“We will use every power, tactic and tool available to prevent further scenes of disorder. Our message to anyone who plans to breed disorder is clear – you will face the full force of the law. Our officers put the safety of others above that of their own.”
The Met has ramped up police presence across London to reassure public safety and deter troublemakers. Valentine urged Londoners to report suspicious activity and warned that scenes of racist and criminal behaviour will not be tolerated on the capital’s streets.
Met Urges Vigilance as Unrest Continues
As the nation battles this rising tide of violence, the Metropolitan Police remain firmly committed to restoring peace. The public is urged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity to help protect communities from further chaos.
